Just a couple of days ago, news hit that a caged lion in California had killed a young woman...she died it seems suddenly because of a broken neck, after the big cat took a deliberate and lethal swipe at her.
It's reported in this link that she likely didn't suffer...and for that, I bet her family and others that loved her are grateful...

But I guess, like someone swimming with sharks, is it a choice? This lion certainly wasn't at the feet of say, a child's babysitter being told it was safe to be around.
This story was all over the morning show I tune into for 2 days. And so it should be, what a horrible way to meet one's end. But why wasn't the death of little Dax on that same news show???

or the story of little Ryan Maxwell
http://wqad.com/2013/03/05/pitbull-that-attacked-and-killed-little-boy-went-for-his-throat-then-his-face/
2 children killed within days of one another by you guessed it, pit bulls...and I bet these children weren't so lucky as to not suffer. I've heard grown adults speak to how incredibly painful a dog bite is, and I thank whatever exists that my little man has very little recollection of those moments during and after his attack. Now, imagine the horror of Ryan's parents as they forever live with trying to fathom what their child went through as the pit sunk it's teeth into him and wouldn't let go until it killed what it set out to destroy?
Imagine being the parents of Dax, and having to read a heartless, brutally violent and demeaning comment like this, which is the response of a nutter to Dax's story...
"the toddler was more than likely aggrevating these poor dogs and brought this on himself.
just last week I caught my neigbours 17 month brat walking on their cocker spaniel dog and smashing into the dog with a plastic 4 weeled sit on trolley. The poor dog was screming out inagony until I came to the rescue of the dog.If theis ever happens again I will personally let the brat have a quick flight being flung off the balcony to see if this brat can fly. I will NEVER tolerate animal abuser by brats or adults.
Why wasn't the babysitter ie dogs owner propely supervising the child and her dogs should not have been in the same room as this kid.
The poor dogs should not have been killed."
I guess we could approach the lack of logic behind not showing these cases on that morning show.
(1) being killed by a lion is rarer, bigger story?
(2) #1 written a different way could be this: so many children are killed by pits, this is a common story and hence not news worthy?
Either way, the lack of national exposure showing the public the horrible way these children died will in the most simple terms pave a path to more children being murdered (yes murdered) in the same way. When did that become socially acceptable?
I'm sorry for the loss of all these people, they had people in their lives who loved them, and wanted to see them become all they were capable of.
But at least the young lady killed by the lion in essence wasn't the victim of propaganda and lies. People know lions are dangerous, we are told they are wild animals, to be approached as such.
Poor little Dax and Ryan, they had no choice. They were placed alongside animals that are just as lethal, and pits prove it over and over again. Instead of pit advocates making the nanny dog claim, how about you change your tune, start being honest. It's too late for Dax and Ryan, but your honesty may help save the lives of other children just like them. Why isn't that more important than a choice of dog???
Oh wait, I forgot, you guys are too FUCKED to give a shit...I just read the quote of one of your fellow nutters again...it reminds me of who you guys really truly are...child killers...
I'm lucky, my little guy is alive, and I still live with the constant memory of what happened to him...I hope Dax's and Ryan's parents can find some peace...unlikely though with all the nutters making themselves feel better when they pass blame...
I truly hope there is a hell, and that God remembers all the blood these lying pit nutters have on their hands when their time comes. May they be surrounded and mauled by their 'wigglebutts' forever.
ReplyDeleteExcellent post, this is exactly how I feel about this and you said it so well for all of us.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. My first visit to this blog (through a link from Craven), but definitely won't be the last.

wow. just wow.
even MORE depraved than dickman, bustos and white. unbelievable. sometimes when i read these extreme comments by nutters, i think to myself, that has to be a hater posing a nutter. they can't be stupid. sadly they are.
Thank you for your comments. I have never experienced a dog attack and try to stay as far away from them as possible. Even non pitbulls make me nervous. I started hearing about pitbull attacks on children and others back in the 1980s and even then, the attitude was the same: the victim must have done something wrong, the dog was raised to be aggressive, blah blah blah. You would think their attitudes would change after, over a period of several years, attacks not only continue, but multiply. People who own and love these things are psychopaths.
ReplyDeleteI have thankfully never been attacked by a dog. Honestly I don't know what I would do if I was or if someone I loved, no even if it was someone I just barely knew was attacked... I'm an animal lover through and through and I really deep down wish there was some magical way to rationalize these senseless killings that have been plaguing our societies recently... BUT it's just NOT POSSIBLE! I wish all of these victims, both the injured and the ones who have left our world, never had to suffer. We all need to start wising up and find a way to prevent further attacks(whether by pits or any dog).
ReplyDeleteAs a side note about the girl who was killed by the lion: to her defense she had followed all the sanctuary's protocols of not entering the cage while the big cat was inside(she had entered to clean while the lion was supposed to be in a different section eating). Unfortunately, something about the gate malfunctioned and the lion was able to open it and get back into the cage where it snuck-up on the poor girl and killed her.
